Ted Severson
Ted grew up in a politically active family in South Dakota where he gained a lifelong passion for Democratic politics. In 2002, he knocked on thousands of doors and made hundreds of phone calls for Senator Tim Johnson’s re-election campaign. In 2006, Ted worked as a researcher, producer, and video editor for a 527 and PAC working to elect more progressive legislators and successfully overturn the controversial anti-abortion law enacted by the Republican state legislature and governor. He was also a field volunteer and GOTV coordinator for a variety of city council, mayoral, and gubernatorial races in South Dakota.
Throughout high school and college, Ted worked in the production department at KEVN-TV as an audio engineer and motion graphic designer.
Ted graduated from the University of Denver in 2007 with a degree in Digital Media Studies (which is the junction of computer science, graphic design, web development, and mass communications). During his time in Denver, he also interned in KUSA-TV‘s engineering department.
When not writing code and editing video at Bullseye, he’s taking classes at The George Washington University‘s Graduate School of Political Management.
